    Dartmoor is blooming with abundant hedgerows, wild foals dancing around and a few beautiful blue skies!

  As a consequence of the rain, the waterfalls and rivers are spectacular!  

    Dorm beds and a Double / Family room (with Double bed) are available, so call or e- mail if you need a breath of fresh air away from concrete and cars!

  Double/ Family room  still available Fri.22and Tues. 26 Aug. .Dorm beds available next weekend 22/23/24/25 Aug. Bank Holiday and this coming  week from 18 Aug.

       Train from Paddington, London, the fast train takes approx. 2 hours 15mins to Exeter.

       Bus 359 from Exeter to Moretonhampstead stops 100mtr along the road from Sparrowhawk Backpackers in the village centre. Leaving Exeter at 8.45/ 11.15/ 13.15/ 15.15 /17.15/ 18.15.

       Bus 82, the scenic route by double decker bus, 'Transmoor Link' runs a couple of times a day and five on Sundays from Exeter across Dartmoor and down to Plymouth and back. This stops in Moretonhampstead.

   Maps and info. are available at the hostel and I can guide you to the best hiking, strolling, picnic spaces, swimming holes( if you're brave)! local pubs, eating out.

   If you are not brave enough for river swimming, our local solar heated outdoor community swimming pool is now open for the summer. 

   This is ideal Group Accommodation!  Get together with some friends or family and book the whole place for a weekend or a few days. A few weekends are still available as well as weekdays. in August.

     Minimum of 10 for sole use  Charge is per person per night.
